Today I want to share a very easy and cute card with the stamp of the Month for November of So Suzy Stamps, I love this kind of designs for many reasons, first because sometimes we don’t have 2 hours to make a card, second because it is easy to mail and third because the results are as cute as a card that you spend hours making it and you can even use this technique to make your own gift wrapping paper, don’t you think?
Below are some of the few materials you will need.
Start stamping your image with Versamark, I tried to stamp it randomly to make the impression of a patterned paper.
Then emboss it with silver embossing powder.
I added a dainty bow die cut from pretty Pink Posh and a sentiment written in vellum by me and attached it with ranger multi medium matte (I adore this adhesive) and voila! Super easy and fast card, hope you tried it!
Remember, from now until December 1st, Suzy is giving you a chance to catch up on all of the Quarters you may have missed. PLUS, everyone who has been AMAZING enough to have the entire 2016 SAM Collection will be receiving an EXTRA SPECIAL gift when our last SAM Stamps get sent out on the 10th of December. So be sure and get your missing SAM stamps before December 1st!
I changed my plan a little bit with this post, initially I thought on making a bookmark; but after listening to the story of a friend that is going through a rough time, I decided that it was better to make a card for her and sharing with all of you, specially with the ones that may need at this moment hugs and prayers, please know you are never alone!
For today’s card I used Beautiful Blooms Hydrangea, I started stamping my image on versamark and embossing it with white embossing powder from Hero Arts, then I colored the back of my image with tombow markers, you don’t really need to be extra careful coloring with this technique since is not going to show the detail, that’s why I love it! After I colored it, I fussy cut my image and attached it to my base card being careful of putting the glue only on the spots I can hide, either with an embellishments or embossed in white, then on the center of my flower I added nuvo drops in Ivory Seashell color, then I stamped my sentiment sending hugs and for the prayers I die cut a banner and wrote it on calligraphy.
Today I want to share another card I made with the So Suzy Stamp of the Month, I think this is a great sentiment that came very convenient for me this month, sometimes you just need to believe in yourself when you are facing a storm, this stamp reminded that!
I tried a different approach with this card, I painted a storm scene in watercolor, I started masking my horizon with washi tape and painting a grey glaze for my sky, then I started to develop my layers with different hues of blues and greys, all the watercolor paints on this projects were Daniel Smith, after I was happy with my sky, I moved to my turbulent sea, which I painted with different hues of blue leaving some white spaces to simulate my waves, after the painting was done I stamped my sentiment with Versamark and embossed it with white hero arts embossing powder, to finish my stormy scene I added some thunders and rain with a white gelly pen.
